Oktoberfest begins in just three weeks and we’re getting a head start to properly prep you for the season.  Join us for an afternoon of learning and drinking, Oktoberfest style.

We begin our journey at the historic Glunz Tavern to discuss the history of Oktoberfest.  Our next stop is The Radler, where we have an opportunity to throw back an Old Style Oktoberfest beer – in a stein you get to keep – while we discuss German history in Chicago.  We then make the journey to the brand new Metropolitan Brewing taproom.  While you’re drinking an Afterburner (their Oktoberfest beer),  you’ll learn all about the brewery, the beer you’re drinking and the brand new location.  You’ll also get to bask in the beauty of the Chicago River and soak in the glory of being one of the first to enjoy the brand new space.  And if that’s not enough, we end in Lincoln Square for German American Oktoberfest! where you’ll be able to oompah the night away.
